On the road

This is one of those rare days where I feel completely content. I'm not stressed about projects I need to finish. I'm not anxious about my business, or lack of it. I love my husband and my home and I'm pretty darn happy with my life.

That will change in about three hours. Don't think it won't. We'll be joining the 38 million Americans who are traveling on the nation's highways today. We're goin' to Kansas. When I travel alone, I use the time to listen to mysteries and NPR podcasts. When I travel with Shaun, I use the time to remind him how far it is (700 miles), how much longer it is (a little while), and to answer questions such as, "Why are your seats so uncomfortable?" and "How can you stand to listen to this crap?"

This is gonna be so fun.
